Hello friends!

I was chatting to a family member this week about something that was bothering her and the reasons why she felt things couldn’t change - which prompted the topic for today’s email;

The top 5 Reasons People Don't Change

(And how they can)

1. LACK OF AWARENESS OF OPTIONS AND POSSIBILITY.

People just don’t KNOW there is another level for them.

They don’t see examples of happy or successful people in their immediate circle of influence.

They’ve never seen it so they can’t even dream of it or know to pursue it.

2. LACK OF NECESSITY. AKA ‘SETTLING’

Some people DO have awareness of opportunities, but they don’t take it. Why?

They’re settling for where they are, because they don’t SEE themselves as a person who “does that” or “can be that.”

no future vision of themselves as capable

So why try?

“This is just the way I am” or “that doesn’t happen for people like me”

They haven’t done the work to visualize themselves in the future.

3. FEAR OF WHAT OTHERS WILL THINK

What if others make fun of me, reject me.?

That concern, and that concern alone, kills so many people’s true joy and progress in life.

4. LACK OF DIRECTION AND CONSISTENT HABITS

Some people want something, believe in themselves, and can get over the fear. But they don’t know what to DO NEXT.

They don’t take the time to learn, to get a map, follow a proven plan.

They don’t get a mentor, study WHAT and HOW other people did to succeed and then CONSISTENTLY implement those strategies in their own lives.

5. NO COMMUNITY THAT INSPIRES (AND DEMANDS) GROWTH

Lots of folks know their lives can be amazing. They believe they deserve it. They overcome resistance to change and fear of judgement and they get a plan, and they TRY. They keep trying. They do well.

But they never feel like they breakthrough or keep growing at the level their future or potential deserves.

This usually happens because they are striving alone. They aren’t getting the support they need.

They aren’t working with a team. They aren’t part of a real network, and they don’t add value to their networks, and they don’t keep in touch with people in such a way they are learning new distinctions, staying inspired, sharing wins, and celebrating together.

No peer group means no hope for longer-term growth.

So... How do you overcome these 5 things?

You make personal development study and conscious work a true dedication.

You look out beyond your immediate life and experience and try to learn from others - you HUNT possibilities and you study successful and happy people !

You make self-improvement a way of life so you can overcome limiting thought patterns.

You learn to;

manage your mind, reflect more,

journal about your thoughts and progress,

set better goals,

learn from mentors,

build a community of people striving with you.

I hope this helps, and I hope that whatever you’re doing today you’re having a really good one, because remember – it's always, always up to you!

Peace Always
