A topic I want to touch on today is something many of can relate to on some level - Anxiety.

Have you ever felt a sense of fear, panic, or overwhelm - even when you know it’s not rational?

Extreme fear makes us freeze, but what happens when that fear never goes away? For people who are anxious, scared or fearful, everyday tasks can feel impossible.

Learning how to get rid of anxiety is essential to living a normal life. You have goals and dreams to achieve. You want to live a full life, not be tied down by hesitation and fear.

Anxiety is a state of being where our minds are caught in a cycle of worry and fear about the future, preventing us from fully living in the present. It's that nagging feeling of unease, often accompanied by physical symptoms like a racing heart, sweating, or restlessness.

But here's the deal: anxiety is your body's way of signaling that something needs attention. It's a call to action, not a life sentence. By acknowledging this and taking proactive steps to understand and manage it, you can harness this energy, turning it from a crippling force into a powerful motivator for positive change and growth.

Affirmation of the week.. ? (use this when Anxiety arises)

"I am in control of my thoughts, and I choose peace and calm in this moment."

Here are 3 steps to help you when you feel anxious;

Cultivate Awareness

Begin by observing your thoughts and emotions without judgment. This maybe a good time to journal on how you feel. Recognise that anxiety often stems from a desire to control the future. By simply being aware of your anxious thoughts, you create a space where you can choose a different response.

Engage in Physical Activity

Exercise can be a powerful anxiety reliever. Go for a walk, do some yoga, or engage in any physical activity that you enjoy to help release built-up tension and stress.

Practice Mindfulness Meditation

Spend a few minutes each day practicing mindfulness to bring your attention to the present moment. Sit quietly, focus on your breath, and gently bring your mind back whenever it wanders. This practice can help reduce anxiety and increase your sense of calm.

(I’d highly recommend my 21day Meditation – Peaceful, Powerful, You)

Everyone experiences anxiety at some point in their lives and the goal is to handle it successfully so it does not negatively impact your overall happiness.
